Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has announced that Istanbul, Türkiye, will be the host city for the 2025 European Meetings & Events Conference (EMEC), scheduled for February 22-25, 2025. This will be the first time EMEC has been held in Türkiye since 2014. Registration for the event opened on September 26, 2024.

Significance of EMEC’s Return to Türkiye

Paul Van Deventer, President and CEO of MPI, stated that returning to Istanbul reflects the city’s appeal as a global destination for meetings and events. İsmail Bütün, General Manager of the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, noted that hosting EMEC 2025 presents an opportunity for Türkiye to strengthen its position in the global MICE industry. MPI also plans to issue a request for proposals for potential host cities for the event in 2026 and 2027.
