London. Reed Travel Exhibitions is continuing its relationship with global travel and meetings web channel Meeting the World with the launch of daily video reports for its U.S. based show, AIBTM. The move to produce ‘video dailies’ for the Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition, which takes place in Chicago from 11-13 June, follows on from the successful roll out of the service at this year’s Gulf Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition.

Meeting the World editor Ian Whiteling will be presenting the reports, which will feature news and insight from across the show, featuring interviews with the organisers, exhibitors, visitors and speakers, to create an engaging diet of video content for those at the US show and those unable to attend. “Online video is highly engaging and now highly accessible through smartphones and tablets, allowing visitors and exhibitors at this year’s AIBTM to watch the daily reports on the go,” said Whiteling. “Meanwhile, those unable to attend can tap into the event through the AIBTM website or on Meeting the World, extending the show’s reach. Plus attendees and other travel and meetings professionals can catch up at their leisure after the show.

Commenting on the new service, AIBTM marketing director Jaime Rosov said: “GIBTM’s video dailies were ground-breaking and very much well received, so we’re delighted to have Meeting the World on board for AIBTM. We’re always looking at ways to add extra value to the visitor and exhibitor experience, and essentially running our own web channel alongside the event will deliver greater and easily accessible insight to both audiences, as well as connecting with those travel and meetings professionals who are unable to attend. We’re also creating a new channel for our exhibitors and sponsors to engage with their target market, so it’s a win-win all round.”

AIBTM takes place from 11-13 June in Chicago.
