Canada. After five years of planning, building and planting, the new Vancouver Convention Centre waterfront facility is ready for conferences. The Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) maintains an extensive program that incorporates three key elements: recycling, food and beverage management and energy conservation. These elements have been integrated into their newly expanded 1.1 million square foot facility. Along with the 2.4 hectare living green roof with over 400,000 indigenous plants, the new building boasts a seawater heating and cooling system, an on-site water treatment system, natural ventilation, the latest in energy efficiency technology and a marine habitat in its very foundations. www.tourismvancouver.comwww.vcec.ca
