Filby will open IBTM World at 09:00 with her keynote „Now and Next: Understanding People in a Changing World“. She will address how geopolitical and economic uncertainty, artificial intelligence, demographic developments and changing generational expectations are influencing behaviour, connection and expectations. Filby is the author of three books and founder of All Relative. She holds a PhD in contemporary history from the University of Warwick and has worked with organisations including Google, PwC, UBS, Pictet and Aviva on topics such as generational change, AI, the future of work, longevity and changing consumer behaviour.
IBTM World 2026 programme focuses on disruption and human connection
The IBTM Main Stage will feature further speakers addressing developments relevant to the events industry. Lieutenant Colonel James Shaw LVO will discuss the planning and delivery of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and the requirements for managing events where failure is not an option. Megan Henshall, Head of Partnership Strategy, Workplace Experience at Google, and Al Turner, Managing Director of Eight PR and Marketing, will discuss the findings of the IBTM Trends Report „Disruption to Belonging in the New World of Experience“. Therapist and DJ Hesta Prynn will examine the role of music in preparing people for important moments. IBTM World 2026 is expected to bring together more than 12,000 event professionals and 2,500 exhibitors for three days of meetings, knowledge exchange and business connections.
