With the season finale of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Excel London officially opened its brand-new expansion, adding 25,000 square metres of event space. Developed by McLaren Construction and now totalling 125,000sqm, the site becomes Europe’s largest fully integrated conference and exhibition centre. The opening forms a milestone in Excel’s 25th anniversary year and responds to rising demand from the UK, Europe, and North America.

Strategic Growth to Strengthen London’s Global Event Position

The £350 million investment by ADNEC Group enhances Excel’s ability to attract major international congresses, offering expanded convention facilities with panoramic skyline views, cutting-edge halls and meeting spaces, and strong sustainability credentials. Built to BREEAM standards and powered entirely by renewable energy, the expansion aligns with London’s vision as a leading business tourism hub. Excel now hosts over 400 events annually and expects further growth, with 10 major international congresses already secured for 2026.
