During this week’s Learning Technologies exhibition, Excel London welcomed its 60 millionth visitor, coinciding with its 25th anniversary year. With four million annual visitors, a major venue expansion underway, and the launch of a new immersive district, 2025 is set to be a significant year for the business tourism hub.

25 years of business tourism and economic contribution

Since opening in 2000, Excel London has hosted over 400 events annually, supporting more than 37,000 jobs and contributing substantially to London’s economy. Landmark events have included the G20 Summit, Olympic competitions, and major medical congresses, while recent developments have positioned the venue as a cultural and entertainment destination. As part of ADNEC Group, Excel is expanding its event space to 125,000 sqm and launching Immerse LDN, a new waterfront entertainment district that has already sold over a million tickets. The 60 millionth visitor; Nigel Fowler, was recognised with a small prize ceremony during the event hosted by CloserStill Media.
