Bernice Heard (Hyatt Hotels), Dan Bardgett (XSEM) and Mags Shaw (Mags Worldwide) have joined the board of trustees of Meeting Needs following the retirement of Shonali Rodrigues, Matt Curran, Karen Small and Hannah Kelly earlier this year. The new appointments aim to bring fresh industry perspectives to the charity’s governance.

Board strengthened as community initiatives expand

In recent months, Meeting Needs has partnered with Community Grub Hub in Aldershot to provide weekly meals for around 80 families by purchasing surplus food from Fareshare, reducing potential landfill by approximately 500 kg per week. The foundation has also committed £7,193 to complete a vocational training classroom and workshop at Uphill Junior School in Uganda, enabling hands-on training in knitting, sewing and joinery for students and community members.
