Greater Paris recorded an overall modest decline in summer overnight stays versus 2023 (–1 % for 1 July–17 August 2025), while hotel occupancy and several long-haul source markets posted strong gains. Autumn booking indicators are positive and 2025 is projected to finish slightly ahead of 2023 and 2024.

Following a strong first half of the year, the summer season in Greater Paris showed a mixed picture: overall overnight stays for 1 July–17 August 2025 were down 1 % on the same period in 2023 (–2 % for foreign visitors, +1 % for French visitors) and down 1.1 % versus 2024 (driven mainly by a 4.1 % decline in French overnights). At the same time, hotel performance improved, with occupancy reaching 76.8 %, up 1.1 percentage points on July 2023 and nine points above July 2024.

Projections for Autumn

The outlook into autumn is constructive: flight bookings for September are currently running about 9 % ahead of September 2024, with October bookings expected to rise a further 4 %. Early forecasts for September through November point to a 6 % increase in bookings, driven in particular by demand from the Middle East and southern Europe. On current projections Greater Paris should finish 2025 with roughly 37.4 million tourists, a modest improvement on both 2023 and 2024.
