The 19th World Congress of Neurosurgery will take place in Dubai from December 1-4, 2025, under the theme “Connecting the Neurosurgical World.” Organized by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), the congress is held biennially and brings together professionals from the field of neurosurgery, including clinicians, researchers, and innovators. Approximately 4,000 delegates are expected to attend, offering a platform for scientific exchange and the presentation of the latest advancements in neurosurgery.

Event Highlights Dubai’s Role as a Conference Hub

The decision to hold the event in Dubai follows a bid led by the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons, with support from Dubai Business Events, the city’s convention bureau. The congress will be supported by local healthcare organizations, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Health Authority, and Department of Health Abu Dhabi. Previous events organized by the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons have included the Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society Annual Meeting and the Leksell Gamma Knife Society Meeting, which laid the groundwork for hosting larger-scale events like the World Congress of Neurosurgery.
