IAPCO Reinstates Rwanda Convention Bureau as Destination Partner

IAPCO has confirmed the return of the Rwanda Convention Bureau to its Destination Partner programme. The partnership aims to strengthen international collaboration and expand opportunities in Africa’s meetings and events market.

The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers has reintegrated the Rwanda Convention Bureau into its global network of convention bureaux and accredited Professional Congress Organisers. The move reflects a renewed focus on collaboration between destinations and organisers to support the acquisition and delivery of international congresses and events. Rwanda’s participation signals continued engagement in the development of the business events sector across Africa.

Partnership Supports Growth of Africa’s Meetings and Events Sector

Through alignment with IAPCO’s network, the Rwanda Convention Bureau gains access to international expertise, bid support and industry connections. Rwanda is ranked among the leading meetings destinations in Africa, with Kigali positioned among the top cities according to ICCA 2024. The country offers established infrastructure, international connectivity and experience in hosting global events.
