The certification places the Miami Beach Convention Center among more than 30 convention centres worldwide that have achieved the AIPC Gold Level standard. The assessment covered eleven management areas, including customer service, facility operations, health and safety, financial management, sustainability, inclusivity and supplier relations. According to AIPC, the audit also acknowledged the venue’s performance measurement processes, supporting documentation and strategic improvement objectives.
Certification recognises operational quality and ongoing investment
According to the audit, the Miami Beach Convention Center demonstrated strong performance measurement, accountability and clearly defined improvement objectives. The venue is managed by Oak View Group and owned by the City of Miami Beach. Since completing a 640 million US dollar renovation and expansion in 2020, the centre has continued to invest in infrastructure, technology and sustainability. Current projects include capital improvements, venue-wide Wi-Fi 7 deployment, energy efficiency upgrades, expanded digital services and audiovisual enhancements. The convention centre also holds several sustainability certifications, including EIC Gold Certification for Sustainability and Social Impact, Green Key Global’s 4 Green Keys rating and LEED Silver certification. The AIPC Gold Level Certification further strengthens the venue’s international position within the global meetings and events industry.
