Wattenscheid. With the support from Drum Cafe and despite the light rain 10,000 fans celebrated the national team of the DLV in an inspiring event and sent it to the world championship in Berlin (August 15th to 23rd, 2009). Drum Cafe brought 1000 drums and distributed them to the young fan clubs. With that band located on the running track and 10,000 fans, most of them equipped with paper clappers, the stadium was transformed into a stunning rhythm machine. Carried by those rhythms the athletics entered the stadium so that drums, applause and the enthusiasm of the fans mixed into an unforgettable sound experience.
