AIM Group International, a global player in conferences, events, and communications services, is furthering its commitment to sustainability through various initiatives. This includes obtaining ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management and appointing Annalisa Ponchia as the new Sustainability Manager.

Ponchia, formerly the firm’s Innovation Director, reportedly brings extensive experience to drive the company’s sustainability efforts forward. Her role involves integrating sustainable practices into client events and communications, aligning with the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge. Ponchia will also oversee internal sustainability initiatives, such as setting targets, implementing staff training, and leveraging AI to enhance environmental efficiency.

The group’s next big step is the release of its inaugural Sustainability Report, reflecting its dedication to environmental, social, and governance performance. Patrizia Semprebene Buongiorno, vice president of AIM Group International, sees this role as an opportunity to lead the industry towards more sustainable practices and leave a lasting legacy.
