On 8 March 2004 the 2.9m-dollar Bahrain Convention Centre opened its gates. It will add 16,000 sqm of meeting and exhibition space for up to 800 people to the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The BIEC is ISO 9001:2000-certified and an ICCA member. www. bahrainexhibitions.com
