Tourism Expo CITE. The year 2015 is looking very promising for Calabar International Convention Centre [Calabar ICC], Nigeria’s premier convention centre. Not only will the Calabar ICC be opening its doors for business in the coming year, it already has a number of events booked to take place at the Centre in 2015.
This week, another confirmed event was added to the bag for 2015, the Calabar International Tourism Expo [CITE]. CITE is arguably the largest and most comprehensive tourism exhibition in Nigeria, expected to play host to over one hundred exhibitors and thousands of visitors from within and outside Nigeria. The organizer of the event, Mr. Peter Ofuka said “Calabar International Tourism EXPO provides the ideal platform for prospective local and international tourism investors to network and we are excited to be hosting next year’s event at the gleaming new Calabar ICC”. The event which is scheduled for 14 – 16 May 2015 is organized by Cite Nigeria in partnership with Cross River State Tourism Bureau, Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation and N D International Trade Fair Limited.
Another exciting event scheduled to take place at Calabar ICC in 2015 is the Calabar International Jazz Festival, an annual event designed to provide the perfect easter break for lovers of jazz , blues, R ‘n’ B, neosoul and other related forms of music.
Linda De Gouveia, Sales Manager ,Calabar ICC remarked, ” Although the Calabar ICC is near completion, confirming bookings prior to official opening is a commendable display of confidence in us by our teeming clientele. We are very pleased.”
