Zhengzhou. The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (ZZICEC) has announced the appointment of Mr Damion Wan as the Deputy General Manager of the Centre as of May 2009. Mr Wan will oversee the planning and implementation of business strategies, international marketing activities, operation efficiency and provides direction to enhance the service quality and customer satisfaction at ZZICEC.

“Damion has an extensive experience in exhibition and conference industry. He will be a great assistance to the General Manager and a valuable asset to ZZICEC in further enhancing the service quality and overall revenue of the Centre,” said Mr Cliff Wallace, Chairman of the Hong Kong-Shanghai Venue Management (Zhengzhou) Limited, a management company for the ZZICEC. 

Mr Wan has over 15 years of experience in exhibition and conference industry in Hong Kong, mainland China and Asia Pacific region. He possesses professional knowledge in organising exhibitions & conferences, venue management, marketing & sales, and stands contracting. Prior to joining ZZICEC, Mr Wan was the General Manager of the Swiftland Limited located in Beijing which provides management consultancy to exhibition/conference companies.

The ZZICEC is located in a newly developed business district of Zhengzhou between the CBD and Zhengzhou’s airport. It has been managed by VMZL since June 2006. The exhibition portion of the ZZICEC includes two major exhibits halls with a total rentable area of 66,000 sq m and there exists an additional 38,000 sq m of outdoor exhibition area. The convention portion of the ZZICEC includes the Grand Hall seating up to 3,160 persons, the International Theatre seating 1,090 persons, two smaller theatres and related break-out space for meetings, conferences and hospitality functions. www.zzicec.com
