Copenhagen will be the first city to host both LGBTQ events, WorldPride and EuroGames, as one joint event in 2021. The combined event will be titled “Copenhagen 2021”. Over the course of 11 days, more than 500,000 people are expected to join a number of human rights debates, sport events and pride parades.

Denmark was the first country in the world to legalise same-sex registered partnerships and was named the most gay-friendly place on earth by Lonely Planet.
