Great Britain. The website offers event organisers the information they need to encourage them to bring their conference, meeting or social event to the city. As well as offering information about 60 potential venues, including hotels, conference centres, academic institutions and more unusual venues, users can find more links to corporate travel, team building, corporate entertainment and much more besides.

As well as general information about the venues and available facilities, the site offers guidance on the accessibility of venues as well as their green credentials. The site provides an easy way for event organisers to take advantage of Destination Bristol’s free venue finding service.  A simple form is provided which can be completed online, enabling organisers to receive a full proposal of available venues and cost within 24 hours.

“This website is the fifth is a series of websites designed, produced and launched by Destination Bristol since December 2008,” explained Destination Bristol’s Managing Director John Hallett.  “The city and surrounding area offer an excellent choice of quality and diverse venues.  This together with outstanding connectivity to the rail, road and air networks makes Bristol an attractive choice for conference and event organisers.”

The website is just one of the methods Destination Bristol uses in building relationships and improving communications with the conference, meetings and event industry. John Hallett continued, “It is important that we get the balance of communication right with an industry that is so important to the local economy.  For Destination Bristol this includes digital newsletters, social media, attending key exhibitions and networking events, distributing key print materials, and talking to the industry to establish their business needs now and in the future.”
