The fourth edition of the Dubai Association Centre Conference will take place from February 27-28, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “Value Amplified: Associations Empowering Change”. The conference brings together global association leaders and executives. The aim is to explore innovative strategies, best practices and collaborative approaches that create tangible and sustainable value for communities and societies.
The conference is aimed at association leaders, government representatives and strategic partners who play a critical role in leadership and governance. Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, emphasizes the importance of the conference for the economic and social development of the region. Topics include artificial intelligence for association leaders, member retention, dealing with disruption and community building.
Dubai Airports faces new passenger record
Dubai Airports forecasts that passenger traffic at Dubai International (DXB) will reach 86.8 million in 2023, surpassing 2019 figures. In the third quarter of 2023, DXB recorded its highest quarterly traffic since 2019, with a total of 22.9 million passengers. Traffic for the first nine months of the year was 64.5 million passengers, an increase of 39.3% year-on-year and 1% above 2019.
The company plans to increase capacity to 120 million passengers by deploying innovative technologies and expanding infrastructure. The top destinations were India, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, the USA and Russia. The most connections were to London and Riyadh.
