Ljubljana. The destination of South-East Europe is gaining ground in the global convention market, also in view of the current financial crisis. The destination has the advantage of being affordable but of high quality, having a scent of mystery while being of short travel distance to key markets. Based on the interest for the region, the Slovenian Convention Bureau organises Conventa – the first exhibition for meetings, events and incentive travel in South-East Europe.
Conventa will bring together 120 providers o as well as 150 hosted buyers or event organizers from across Europe. It will inform on the main trends in the meetings industry as well as on the impact of standardisation of the quality level of convention services. The fair will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 22 to 23 January 2009. It is organized by the Slovenian Convention Bureau in cooperation with the Slovenian Tourist Board, Ljubljana Tourist Board and Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. www.conventa.info
