On 25 May 2005 construction work started on expanding Congress Centre Hamburg (CCH). It is slated for completion by mid-2006. 25 million euros will be invested in the new 7,000-sqm multipurpose centre and conference area. Then the CCH will offer 12,000 sqm of exhibition space and 23 halls for a total of 16,000 attendees. In construction phase II in 2008 the entrance and facade will be modernised for 15 million euros. www.cch.de
