Poland. Over the past few years six new convention bureaux opened in Poland. The Governmental Convention Bureau of Poland was the first, followed by five bureaux in Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw. But convention centres are not the only meeting venues. You can also meet 300 metres underground, in Wieliczka salt mine. The UNESCO-listed site has nine floors, 3,000 rooms and 300 km of galleries, plus the necessary equipment for events and conferences. Alongside historical cities and nature reserves, Poland also boasts a modern infrastructure and good affordable service. www.poland-convention.pl
