London. The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) announced a record number of buyers registering for the GBTA Europe Conference 2013, being held in Prague, Czech Republic on 23rd-25th September 2013. Buyers representing organisations from more than 20 countries, including Ikea, Continental, Siemens, Nestlé, UBS and Rolls Royce will be among, in excess of, 400 corporate travel and meeting management professionals to attend or exhibit at the event.

“This year marks a huge uptake in buyer registrations this far in advance of the event. Previous conferences have seen more than 30% buyers in attendance and we are confident that we will surpass this figure based on early indicators.” said Catherine McGavock, GBTA’s Regional Director for Europe.

“Businesses are recognisingthe real opportunities and ROI available by attending this kind of European event. An educational focused conference with an opportunity to interact with industry professionals, network with peers and learn from leading experts during the interactive and engaging conference programme. Last year of the 95% of buyers, who set objectives for the conference, 91% achieved their objectives.”said Paul Tilstone, GBTA’s SVP Global Operations.

Mia Andersson, Global Programme Manager – AstraZeneca Travel Service, a delegate registered to attend this year’s event, said “This is the second year I will be attending the GBTA Europe conference. It is a fantastic learning and networking opportunity over two days; last time proved to be invaluable in ensuring I had a clear understanding of future industry changes and the solutions available to corporations.”
