ICCA: “The Role Associations Play in Societal Transformation”

ICCA hosted a distinctive half-day gathering at The Center for Association Leadership, which focused on the future impact of association meetings on societal shifts.

Industry figures such as Michelle Mason and Elliott Ferguson joined representatives from key North American associations. The event, which took place during Business Events Industry Week in Washington, D.C., from April 8-11 showcased the global sway of the industry.

Discussions, notably in ICCA’s session titled “The Future of Association Meetings and Societal Transformation,” honed in on associations’ societal roles. The event provided attendees with insights to help them steer trends and foster collaborative strategies, with a particular focus on innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity.

The presence of ICCA’s leadership, including President Marta Gomes and CEO Senthil Gopinath, demonstrated the importance of industry cooperation and trend navigation.
