The German Convention Bureau (GCB) is organizing the German stand for this year’s IMEX in Frankfurt. From May 31 to June 2, the “entire diversity of Germany as a conference location” will be presented on the approximately 1,400 square meters of stand F100 and also on additional open spaces. More than 160 exhibitors from conference hotels, event centres, convention bureaus, event agencies and technology service providers will be represented. Around 8,000 visitors are expected.

In terms of content, the GCB and its partners are focusing on three key themes: innovation, sustainability and industry expertise. According to the GCB, these three factors are among “Germany’s main locational advantages” and would contribute “to the fact that the location has consistently occupied a leading global position as a venue for meetings, conferences and congresses for years”. Its managing director, Matthias Schultze, is convinced that IMEX 2022 “can send an important signal, especially in the current time: business events help to solve complex problems and stand for constructive international exchange”.

As with previous editions of the leading MICE trade fair, this time lectures and workshops will also take place in the Communication Cube of the GCB. In this context, they want to provide a “holistic view of sustainability, diversity and inclusion in event planning, MICE revenue management as an approach to flexible pricing for business events and innovative forms of event design”. This and other sessions will be held in German, and participation is free of charge. IMEX also offers numerous other education sessions in English.
