In mid-January 2003 InterContinental Malta opened its gates in St. Julians on the island of Malta. The 5-star hotel has 451 rooms, 2,700 sqm of meeting space, divided into 18 rooms for up to 641 participants. In March 2003 the Hilton will open its convention centre in St. Julians (auditorium: 1,400). Three further 5-star hotels in the city have a total of 30 meeting rooms and 1,900 beds.
