Taiwan. Invested and built by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC) is the first multi-functional exhibition center in South Taiwan. The center’s operation team, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Cooperation, a member of Uniplan Group, will open the venue on April 14th. KEC is now scheduled to have more than 30 conferences and 10 exhibitions, including international trade fairs such as Taiwan International Fastener Show and Taiwan International Boat Show organized by TAITRA.  Among the conferences, more than half are meetings with more than 1,000 participants.  This brand new world-class exhibition center will bring trade opportunities to the MICE industry in South Taiwan and be an important contributor to Kaohsiung City’s economic development.

In order to provide a more efficient and user-friendly event space, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Cooperation is investing NT $250 million to enhance facilities and improve the environment.  In addition to setting up cables, telecommunication networks and international standard furniture, the team is now renovating KEC’s Central Boulevard, which will soon be the new recreation destination for gourmet and leisure.  Upon the completion of the Central Boulevard, KEC will boast a large variety of cuisines, including cafés, snack bars, business lunches, buffet and banquet catering for the broad needs for all kinds of events and visitors.
