Expansion. Papenburg recently saw the kick-off of new additions to the AIDA fleet. The three identical new ships will have a length of 252 metres and breadth of 32 metres, offering space for 2,050 passengers and three rooms for 100 delegates. If the ship is chartered completely, the “Theatrium” with another 450 seats is additionally available. According to tradition, a lucky coin was placed under the first block during the keel-laying ceremony. The block is 16 metres wide, 32 metres long and weighs approx. 450 tons. The first big event for AIDAdiva is scheduled for 15 April 2007. www.aida.de
