The number of Korea’s incentive travel tourists has increased by 25% within a year, counting a total of 183,307 people in 2017. The number does not include visitors from China.

According to KTO CEO Changsu Jung, the number of incentive travelers from Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia, is continuously increasing.

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Meetings & Incentives Team Director Chulbeum Park: “We have taken several steps to seek new markets and increase the tourist arrivals in Korea. Our major move was to expand the existing support system to attract more incentive groups to Korea last year.”

In 2017, KTO launched a corporate meetings & incentive support program and initiated road shows overseas to promote the region for incentive travel.
