Networking trade event company in the MICE sector, m&i, is investing in the future of the event industry by partnering with Rendez Verse on a project that is said to help shape the corporate metaverse by m&i showcasing Rendez Verse to an audience of over 1,400 delegates throughout their three 2022 flagship forums taking place in Seville, Porto, and Punta Cana.

During these events, Peter Gould, CEO of Rendez Verse, will introduce how his company would leverage Web 3.0 technologies to transform the way hotels and destinations market themselves in an effort to save our most valuable assets: time, money, and the planet, m&i announces.

According to a press release, Rendez Verse will conduct live demonstrations at each m&i flagship forum, where they will premiere the Rendez Verse experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to virtually inspect a range of hotel environments and view specific areas of iconic properties, such as the Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Atlantis The Palm Dubai and Four Seasons Resort Bali, which are all signed up to the Rendez Verse development partner programme.

m&i will take an active role in the development of Rendez Verse, which will help the industry become greener and more efficient, m&i reports – the vision being to simplify the current and outdated booking processes of the hospitality industry, and implement new technological processes that will make it easier and more convenient for event planners to inspect properties. This would reduce the costs, money, time and environmental impact associated with visiting a property in person.

Richard Barnes, CEO of m&i, said: “We are very excited about the possibilities that Rendez Verse is going to uncover for our industry. m&i has always been on the front line of innovation, both by challenging the traditional event format and incorporating new technology to shape our industry for a more efficient future. Our collaboration with Rendez Verse further solidifies this ambition.”

Peter Gould, CEO of Rendez Verse, said: “We are delighted to work with m&i and have the opportunity to showcase our hotel and events metaverse platform. The feedback we’ve received so far from major players in the hotel sector has been overwhelming, and we can’t wait to show what Rendez Verse can do for the m&i community.”
