Corum-Palais. Thanks to the cooperation of players from the scientific, economic and institutional worlds, the Montpellier Corum-Palais des Congrès, managed by “Enjoy Montpellier”, will shortly be hosting two international and European conferences: ICCB 2015 (International Congress for Conservation Biology) and EUROCORR 2016 (European Corrosion Congress).

The International Society for Conservation Biology has opted for the French candidacy submitted jointly by the Foundation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité (Biodiversity Research Foundation) and Agropolis International. This international event, which has only been held once previously in Europe since 1987, will welcome 1,500 to 2,000 delegates to the Corum in Montpellier as they focus on the science and conservation practices of the biodiversity. They will include researchers, students, lecturers, protected space managers, policymakers, NGOs and representatives of the civil society. A unique event of its type as 2015 will be the first year in the history of this conference that the ICCB and the ECCB (the European version of the ICCB) will take place at the same time in the same city.

Through its solid scientific programme and by fulfilling all the criteria in the specifications, the Montpellier Corum-Palais des Congrès, at the heart of the old city, has been chosen to organise the EUROCORR in September 2016. This congress is scheduled to received nearly one thousand delegates, including the best-known corrosion scientists and engineers in Europe.
