Marcus Bergström has long worked in sales positions at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (brand name Messukeskus) and has extensive experience in the event business. He will transfer to his new position from the Exhibitions business area, where he has worked during the past years as Business Manager of public and professional events produced by Messukeskus.

Before this, Bergström was head of Finnish Fair Corporation’s and Stockholmsmässan’s joint venture Adforum Ab, which organised international fairs for the forest industry in Finland, Sweden and Asia.

As Director of the Messukeskus Events & Congresses business unit at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, Marcus Bergström’s area of responsibility includes meetings, congresses, banquets and guest events organized at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. In addition, Bergström is responsible for the Centre’s hotel and restaurant operations, which Messukeskus operates together with its partners Scandic and Noho Partners.

He will start his new position leading the Messukeskus Events & Congresses business unit on February 26, 2024.
