On 31 October Karlsruhe Fair celebrated its opening. The ceremony kicked off with a speech by premier Erwin Teufel and ended with live music in the dm-arena. The new fair boasts a Fair Congress Centre with 13 meeting rooms and a 1,500-seat plenum, four pillar-free halls of 12,500 sqm each and the dm-arena for large events with up to 14,000 visitors (www.karlsruhe-messe.de).
