This year’s IMEX focus theme “Impact” forms the basis of the trade fair, which is reflected throughout the entire exhibition area as well as in the accompanying programme. On all three days of the trade fair, there will be a further education programme divided into various subject areas such as the new track “Impact”, which picks up on the focus topic, “Marketing”, “Technology and Innovation” and “Trends and Research”.
New this year at IMEX are the two initiatives “Impact Zone” and “Young Stars”. Both new formats were born out of the basic idea of providing answers to current challenges and connecting people in our industry in order to develop co-creative ideas and innovations for a sustainable event industry. Both new initiatives are curated and organised by IMEX brand ambassador and MICE Impact founder Tanja Knecht.
The “Impact Zone” is a new trade fair area in Hall 9, in cooperation with memox, where co-creation, networking and education will be available on all three days of the fair. The “Young Stars” initiative is aimed at young planners at the start of their career who are new to the event industry, want to build up their own network and acquire the latest knowledge on current topics and challenges. In the “Impact Zone” there will be daily workshops, panels and co-creative sessions specifically aimed at this target group. Guided tours of the trade fair by “Young Stars for Young Stars” round off the programme. The initiative cooperates closely with MICE agencies that integrate the “Young Stars” programme into their employee development.
In addition to the trade fair events, the day before IMEX, on Monday 13 May 2024, there will once again be the target group-specific training and networking formats “Exclusively Corporate” for meeting planners in companies and “Association Focus” for association planners. In addition, the “MICE Impact Academy”, an exclusive hosted buyer format specially developed for the challenges and needs of operational event planning, is entering its second round following last year’s successful launch.
