Networking. Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings  – IT&CM China 2010 – has opened its doors on Wednesday 7 April at the ShanghaiMart Expo just 24 days ahead of World Expo in Shanghai. In the course of the following three days, Shanghai boasts business and networking opportunities for the meetings industry. The theme of this year’s IT&CM China is “Bridging the Global MICE Business” a month before World Expo begins in Shanghai. Over 230 exhibitors have confirmed their participation. IT&CM China 2010 sees the participation of more than 300 buyers from 39 countries, with first-timers from Belarus, Brazil, Israel, Lebanon, Qatar, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia and Ukraine. Meeting and incentive destinations such as Xiamen and Chinese Taiwan present themselves on the floor for the first time, along with companies from the hospitality and conference venues. The event will also see bigger participation from popular meeting destinations such as Macau, Japan and South Korea.
Local buyers from trade associations, such as the China Condiment Industry Association and National Architecture Institute of China are on site as well as corporates like Bayer HealthCare Company Ltd and Symantec Software (Beijing) Co. Ltd. Sylvia Phua, Chief Executive Officer of the organising company MP International, said, “Business opportunities at IT&CM China 2010 will once again transcend boundaries, with buyers and sellers hailing from across China, Asia and the World. Over 2,000 participants are expected to attend business appointment sessions, trade seminars, as well as social events.”
