Italy. As from Monday 16th September 2013 Viviana Marano, currently responsible for relations with the territory, will be the new face of sales for the Sicilia Convention Bureau.
Tobia Salvadori is leaving after almost 5 years spent working for Sicily as sales manager, a role he performed with enormous dedication as he introduced and increased awareness of Sicily and its special qualities both artistic and professional to the meetings industry. He is returning to his native Florence to begin a new job in sales and marketing for a leading Tuscan company which provides technological services for events.
His place will now be taken by Viviana Marano, a true Sicilian and Bocconi graduate with a specialist degree in Marketing and Communication from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. She is known for her expert knowledge of the Sicilian territory.
This reorganization creates a group which for the time being is 100% female and which will bring about changes that could lead to a future increase in the team which for now is composed of Viviana Marano, the new Commercial Manager, Daniela Marino at Relations with the Territory, Gabriella Minissale for Bids, Projects and Administration and Giovanna Uttilla for Relations with the Media and Communications, all working under the leadership of Maja de’ Simoni CMP CMM, director of the bureau.
