The fourth edition IMD World Talent Ranking study reveals that European economies are superior when it comes to attracting, developing and retaining top talent. The study assesses the methods countries use to attract and retain the talent their businesses need to thrive.

Europe continues to dominate the 2017 list, with Switzerland, Denmark and Belgium remaining the most competitive countries in the ranking. Alongside the three, Austria, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Sweden and Luxembourg make up the top-ten.

The annual study is conducted by the World Competitiveness Center at IMD, a business school based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Singapore. The study draws on a survey of thousands of executives from 63 different economies, and more than two decades’ data.
