Geneva. From 27th to 29th November 2013, the Geneva Convention Bureau organised its first Client Advisory Board (CAB) centred on the subject of “Trends in the Meetings Industry”. The workshop was intended to bring together senior professionals of the meetings industry from across the world, as well as dignitaries of the industry and the government of Geneva, to discuss and evaluate the current situation as it affects our industry and to explore the likely impact of future trends, both worldwide and with respect to Geneva. The prime objective of the workshop was to provide a platform for the free exchange of information, experience and know-how which will enable the clients and Geneva to better appreciate the present and future needs and the problems facing the meetings industry.

This workshop proved to be of great benefit for Geneva and the board members and will be held next year to continue the discussion and review the progress made.
