Hosted by the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (KVCV), ECC10 takes place at A Room with a ZOO and is expected to attract participants from across Europe and beyond. The programme includes plenary sessions, scientific presentations, workshops, poster sessions and activities for early-career researchers. Topics cover areas including catalysis, materials science, analytical chemistry, artificial intelligence, sustainability, energy, life sciences and circular economy. A dedicated Industry Day focuses on strengthening collaboration between research and industry, with the City of Antwerp presenting its regional innovation ecosystem and its role in supporting the chemical sector.

Congress highlights Antwerp’s chemistry ecosystem and international connectivity

The congress also provides an opportunity to showcase Antwerp as a destination for international scientific meetings. The city is home to Europe’s largest integrated chemical cluster and the world’s second-largest chemical cluster. There are more than 500 chemical companies and a broad industrial base located in Antwerp. Next to Antwerp Central Station, the congress venue offers direct rail connections, including links to Brussels Airport. Beyond the scientific programme, delegates have access to the city’s cultural attractions, historic centre, hospitality offering and innovation ecosystem.
